Using a play-based approach to learning, we provide a secure base for children to explore and learn through play.  Unlike a typical Early Learning Centre, we are open for 50 weeks in a year, Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm.

About the role

The role of the Child Care Educator, in the Early Learning Centre (ELC) is to assist the Director/Teacher and the team in providing high quality care and education for children in a community preschool setting for 3–5-year-olds.

Duties

• Assisting the room teacher with the implementation of a well-planned and evaluated program for 3–5-year-olds, using the Early Years Framework.
• Developing a positive and supportive relationship with children.
• Maintaining a safe and hygienic environment.
• Working with the team to ensure a compliant centre as per the Education and Care Services Regulations
• Establishing and maintaining good relationships with families.

Requirements

• Certificate III qualifications  and experience in Early Childhood Education
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
• Current Asthma and Anaphylaxis
• Completion of Identify & Respond to Children and Young People at Risk (CHCPRT001 or previous equivalent)
• Current and valid Working with Children Check clearance.
